J TUDOR CONSULTING, was established by Jason Tudor in 2016 to provide independent strategic advice and expert evidence in financial markets and commodities. After a subsequent period of senior executive service at UBS in Hong Kong, the practice has been relaunched to concentrate on expert testimony, regulatory and dispute consulting, and risk and operational advisory to corporates and trading companies, financial institutions, exchanges and law firms.

Jason has 35 years of global markets experience. He was APAC Chief Operating Officer of UBS Investment Bank, accountable for the front-to-back platform of Banking, Markets and Research across 13 locations. Immediately before that he was Global Head of the firm’s Risk Intelligence and Special Review Group, investigating material commercial, reputational and regulatory risk, and he held HKMA and SFC approved roles as Head of Audit for UBS Hong Kong and for the Investment Bank in Asia Pacific.

Earlier he ran global metals, indices, exotics and Asia-Pacific commodities businesses at Citigroup; rebuilt commodities capabilities at Nomura after the collapse of Lehman Brothers; led EMEA commodities and global metals and structured products at Lehman Brothers, remaining with the administrator after the failure; and built Barclays Capital’s metals franchise and its first broad-based commodity ETPs. He began his career at Metallgesellschaft (now part of J.P. Morgan) and was appointed to its board at 29.

 

He has served on management committees and regulated boards in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and China. He is a former Board Director of ASIFMA and is currently Co-Chair of the U-GO Foundation in Hong Kong. He holds an MA in Engineering and Management Studies from the University of Cambridge and a recently completed an MA in Law from the University of Law in England.
